A young married man believed to be in his thirties, Kwabena Ahi, has beaten his wedded wife, Patience Armah, to death in Apente, a farming community in the Western North Region.
Reports indicate the couple engaged in a fight leading to the unfortunate incident.
Antwi Ofori, a resident of Apente community tells Onua News’ Emmanuel Sowah the couple have indulged in fighting several times until the last one led to the demise of the demise of the wife.
Ahi after finding out his wife was dead, also took in a poisonous chemical suspected to be a weedicide to kill himself.
However, he was found helpless in the bushes and subsequently taken to the Juaboso Government Hospital for treatment.
The police from Sehwi Bodi came to the scene and the wife’s body was taken to the Juaboso Government Hospital for further investigation.
The couple have two children, a 4-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl.
Following the curse the man has brought upon the land, the traditional authority visited the crime scene to appease the the land with libation.
