The incident occurred on Thursday, August 5.
Police preliminary investigations revealed that about 4:30am children of the deceased couples who were in a different room heard shouts for help from their mother.They saw their father hurriedly run out from the room.
Neighbors of the couples also narrated , the now deceased father run into their compound with a slashed throat. They rushed him to the Nsawam government hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Their suspicion caused them to enter into the couples room,only to find the 27 year old pregnant mother lying on the floor of their bedroom in a pool of blood with cuts on the face and the head.
The police were Informed and necessary actions taken. A blood stained cutlass was picked up by the police from the scene
Both deceased were staying together at Ankwa Doboro with their three children.The deceased wife was carrying a fourth child.
It is unclear what might have caused the couples relationship to go soar.
Their bodies have been deposited at the police hospital morgue for preservation awaiting autopsy.
