The Manhyia Palace has announced that all funeral arrangements within the Kingdom on Thursday, August 21, 2025, be suspended for the One Week celebration of the demise of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Manhyia Palace, dated Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
According to the statement, the One Week celebration will be carried out at Bogyawe inside the Palace.

“Manhyia Palace announces for the information of the general public that there will be a ban on all funerals across Asanteman on Thursday, August 21, 2025, to allow Asantehene and Asanteman observe the One Week Celebration of Asantehemaa,” the statement contained.
The death of Nana Konadu Yiadom was officially announced by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to the Asanteman Council on Monday, August 11, 2025.
The statement further stated that the celebration will take place between 12 noon to 6:00 p.m.
