The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ga Central municipality through a directive by the President has donated some food items to support the Homowo festivals, a significant cultural celebration in the Ga community.

The donation is a gesture of goodwill and support for the traditional authorities and the people of Ga Central municipality.

During the donation ceremony, the MCE emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among citizens, echoing the President’s call for harmony and unity. He urged the traditional leaders and the youth to work together to promote peace and stability in the municipality.

“President Mahama wants to change Ghana but he can only do that when there’s peace in the country,” he stated.

The Chief of Staff for the Teshie Traditional Council, expressed his gratitude to the President, the Greater Accra Regional Minister and the Ga Central Municipal Chief Executive.

He also warned the youth to stay away from drugs and other substances that could undermine their potential and the peace in the community. He emphasized the need for the youth to focus on important things to build a brighter future for themselves and their community.

“My little message to the youth is to try as much as possible to stay away from drugs and they shouldn’t be violent. They should rather channel their energy into supporting the vulnerable in the society.”
