The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) Eastern Chapter has called for swift investigations and action against a group of students at Kade Senior high school who assaulted their teacher outside the school premises.
A viral video shows about six students attacking the teacher in what is believed to be retaliation for disciplinary measures taken against them in school in October, 2025.
Although the Ghana Police Service began investigations when the incident occurred, no concrete action has been taken yet.

Eastern Regional NAGRAT Chairman-Awoonor -Yevu Godwin insists that lawful sanctions must be applied to the students to serve as a deterrent to others.
The Association stressed that attacks on teachers undermine discipline and safety within the school environment.

Meanwhile the Centre for Research on Education Policy has also condemned the ambush and assault, describing it as unacceptable and a threat to the professional dignity of teachers.
“CREP condemns the incident in the strongest possible terms. Violence against teachers is unacceptable, unlawful, and a grave threat to the stability and quality of Ghana’s educational environment. Teachers must never be subjected to intimidation or physical attack for carrying out their professional responsibilities,” they said.
