The National Peace Council’s (NPC) Head Office has suffered significant damage following torrential rains that swept across parts of Accra on Monday, inundating the Council’s premisses and disrupting its operations.
The floodwaters submerged several offices, including that of the Executive Secretary, as well as directorates and stores.
The flooding damaged office furniture, electronic equipment, and some documents, creating a major operational setback for the Council.

The NPC Executive Secretary, Dr George Amoh joined some staff members in an emergency effort to salvage equipment and recovered some valuable materials from the flood affected offices.

Following and initial assessment of the damage, Dr. Amoh expressed concern over the impact of the flooding on the Council’s work and appealed to government, development partners, corporate organisations, and well-meaning Ghanaians to support to replace the damaged items and restore normal operations.
