The Head Coach of Nations FC, Kassim Mingle Ocansey, has been appointed as the Head Coach of the national U-23 men’s football team, the Black Meteors.
The announcement was made by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday, January 13.
Coach Ocansey brings a wealth of experience to the role, having had a distinguished career in coaching with club sides Accra Great Olympics, Bechem United, and Nations FC.
According to the GFA, Coach Kassim Mingle’s expertise and experience will be invaluable in building a formidable team for ultimate success.
The Meteors will seek to qualify for the Los Angeles Olympic Games, having last played at the multi-sport global tournament in 2004.
They were the first African football team to medal at the Olympics, in 1992.
