Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Tei Party, has been roped in the Minority reshuffle of its leadership in Parliament ousting Haruna Iddrisu as Minority Leader and Muntaka Mubarak as Chief Whip among others.

Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, an Arsenal fan and Member of Parliament for Tamale Central could not resist the urge to drag his club into the brouhaha in Ghana’s legislature.

It’s been nearly two decades since the Gunners last lifted the league trophy, a period dating back to the 2003/04 season when Arsène Wenger’s “Invincibles” went unbeaten with 26 wins and 12 draws.

After playing 19 matches for the 2022/2023 season, Arsenal have only lost a match and just drawing 2 two.

With 50 points secured already, the Tamale Central legislator insists the feat the Islington-based club in South East London is chalking is due to the rich experience of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey.

He maintained youngsters Martinelli and Saka are doing well due to the experience of the likes of Partey whom Arteta has built his team around.

This tactical move by Mikel Arteta, according to Murtala Muhammed is missing in the NDC.

He likened Haruna Iddrisu to Thomas Partey as the experienced figure working hard for the others to thrive.

The MP believes his removal along with Muntaka Mubarak will gravely affect the chances of the party at the plenary.

“This action is taking our most experienced
members. Aside Cletus Avoka and Collins Dauda, who is more experienced than Haruna Iddrisu?

“He has twenty years in Parliament. What they are doing is taking away the most experienced amongst us and bringing in new ones.

“My team Arsenal is doing very well because our attack is solid. We have three young men who are doing it and in the midfield we have an outstanding player in Thomas Partey.

“The young guys are performing because we have an experienced Thomas Partey so why would you take away your front bench?” he asked.

Leadership of the NDC have announced changes in their leaders in Parliament replacing Tamale South MP, Haruna Iddrisu with Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minority Leader.

Deputy James Klutse Avedzi has also been replaced with Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah with Asawase MP, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka being replaced with Cordons Kwame Agbodza.
