Nine players joined the Black Stars’ training ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad on Friday, March 21.
The Black Stars opened camp at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
Coach Otto Addo had called 23 players for the game – as well as Madagascar’s on Friday – with the first training opened to the public.
However, only nine players were at the Accra Sports Stadium for the first training.
Despite arriving on Sunday night, West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus was not part of the cohort that trained.
Players who reported for training are goalkeepers Benjamin Asare of Accra Hearts of Oak, Lawrence Ati-Zigi of St Gallen and Joseph Wollacott of Crawley Town.
The others are defenders Kamaradini Mamudu of Medeama SC, Mohammed Salisu of AS Monaco, Gideon Mensah of Auxerre and Razak Simpson of Nations FC.
The rest are Kamaldeen Sulemana of Southampton FC and Antoine Semenyo of AFC Bournemouth.
The team had a rare visit from the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams.
The team was led in training by the coach with Technical Advisor Winfried Schafer visibly seen issuing out training instructions.
