The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released the fixtures for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, scheduled to start on the weekend of Friday, September 6.
The fixtures, released on Monday, July 29, will have no official midweek games.
This, according to the GFA, is a policy aimed at lessening the travel burden on clubs.
The fixtures on Day 1 will see champions FC Samartex 1996 travelling to the Tuba Astroturf to play 2024 CAF Confederation Cup semi-finalists Dreams FC.
2023/24 FA Cup winners Nsoatreman FC will stay at home to welcome their regional rivals Young Apostles, who will be playing in the elite league for the very first time.
While Asante Kotoko will travel to Tamale to play Kareka United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, archrivals Hearts of Oak will host debutants Basake Holy Stars.
The two clubs are scheduled to lock horns for the first time in the season on Matchday 13 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the second leg slated for Matchday 30 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
