The North East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Nurudeen, has criticized the current administration, asserting that their performance does not warrant even a 35 percent approval rating.

Citing the severe economic hardship faced by farmers due to the rising cost of production and the inability to sell their crops, he highlighted the struggles many families faced during the recent Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.

As a solution, he is calling on all Ghanaians to support the return of Dr. Muhammadu Bawumia in 2028 to restore the nation’s progress under the NPP.

Chairman Nurudeen expressed deep concern over the state of the agricultural sector. He pointed out that the high cost of farm produce, particularly maize, has placed a heavy burden on farmers, causing them to suffer significant financial losses.

According to the Chairman, the current governance has made it difficult for these farmers to find buyers for their goods, which has severely impacted their livelihoods.

He further noted that the recent Eid-ul-Adha celebration served as a clear reflection of this struggle. Many farmers were unable to afford the traditional purchase of sheep for the holiday, a situation he believes is a direct result of poor economic management.

Chairman Nurudeen is encouraging the public to look toward the future by supporting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in 2028. He believes that the NPP has a proven track record of good work and that returning the party to power is the best path forward for the country’s development.

In his address on May 27, the Chairman also took a moment to acknowledge the vital role of the media. He praised journalists for their hard work and urged them to remain fair, objective and positive in their reporting.

He believes that such media coverage is essential in helping the public understand the NPP’s vision.

Chairman Nurudeen reached out to his fellow party members with a message of solidarity. He emphasized that for the party to succeed, it is crucial for everyone to remain united. He believes the NPP can successfully return to power and continue to serve the people of Ghana.

He reminded the populace that the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha is rooted in peace, sacrifice, devotion and collective harmony. He argued that true development is impossible in an environment of conflict and that the people must prioritize communal peace in all times. He urged the youth and community leaders to serve as supporters of peace and stability.
