The ruling New Patriotic Party Communications Directorate in the Ashanti Region has announced to boycott Kumasi-based Nhiyra FM’s political show dubbed ‘Kro Yi Mu Nsem’ over some 2,000 dollars bribery allegations against the host, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah.

At a press conference in Kumasi, the Director of Communications of the NPP in Ashanti Region, Dennis Kwakwa, described the bribery allegations as true and factual.

He said this does not make their members safe since the host has promised doing worst things against the NPP on the show in the coming days.

He said a financially-induced journalist is as dangerous as a mentally deranged man with a weapon because their actions pose serious threats to individual lives and societal reputations.

”To lend credence to our suspicion, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, a day after his alleged shameful bribe taking secret became public, sat on radio and warned the NPP to be on guard because ‘he was about to switch to third and fourth gear.

“But for this unfortunate statement, Nana Jantuah, the NPP would have assumed that we had no concern about the raging issues of the NDC. This is in reference, ostensibly to his heinous agenda against the NPP and the Government as contracted by the NDC. As shamful as it seemed, the recorded version of 2nd September, 2022 of the show ”Kuro Yi Mu Nsem’ has been deleted from their online platforms.

”We therefore demand the Multimedia Group to suspend Nana Kwadwo Jantuah and undertake a more comprehensive investigations into this important matter.

”The Ashanti Regional NPP Communication Directorate accordingly withdraws our participation in subsequent episodes of ”Kuro Yi Mu Nsem” and the ”Kukurantumi” shows which Nana Kwadwo Jantuah is the host until our demand of his interdiction is met. His emboldened posture showing readiness to do his worst in the coming days gives us a cause to worry for the safety of our members. He sounds combative determined to exchange blows if that becomes necessary in his view. He has gone ahead this morning the 6th of September, 2022 on the same show to describe his critics as foolish. To quote him, ”me ne anyansafoɔ na edi dwuma, ɛnyɛ agyimifoɔ’ to wit, I deal with sensible people, not foolish people.

”We would better protect ourselves against possible physical confrontation and brutalities from the hands of Nana Kwadwo Jantuah,” he said.

He said though several interesting commentaries came up after the expose of this shamful act of Nana Jantuah, the major surprise, however, has been the despicable, repugnant and unmerited reaction from the Management of the Multimedia Group in Kumasi.

Subsequently, Multimedia arranged and caused Appiah Stadium to issue a disclaimer in a video footage. Ironically, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah was seated next to Appiah Stadium in the same vehicle in which that recording was done. This in fact, tarnishes the image of managers of Multimedia Group in Kumasi and says they acted in bad faith.
