Former Majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, former Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Former Chief of staff, Frema Opare, Minority leader, Afenyo-Markin, the Inspector General of Police and members of the National Peace Council are all present to witness the signing of the peace pact.

The five aspirants are expected to be present and sign the peace pact in person.

The National Executive Committee is expected to hold a meeting after the signing of the peace pact.

Director of Elections for the party, Richard Ahiagbah highlighted the significance of such a ceremony in an interview with the media.

“It is going to be a rather brief but solemn ceremony today to signal today to Ghana that the NPP can be trusted with this country and we are taking the first step by showing that we can be peaceful even in a competitive situation to select one of us to lead us in the 2028 elections” he stated.
