The National Service Authority (NSA) has released the first batch of postings for 70,072 eligible National Service Personnel for the 2026/2027 service year.
The postings were released on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, following the completion of validation and registration processes for prospective personnel submitted for consideration.
The Authority has directed eligible personnel to visit its website and access the portal to check their respective places of posting and complete the required regional validation.
Registration for the 2026/2027 national service year begins on Thursday, October 1, 2026, and ends on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
Personnel are expected to report to their respective departments, institutions and agencies from Monday, October 5, 2026, to commence their service.
The NSA said a total of 149,907 prospective National Service Personnel were submitted through the registration process.
Of this number, 95,689 were successfully verified, while 95,197 completed their registration.
Following the applicable validation and deployment processes, 70,072 personnel have been posted in the first batch for the 2026/2027 service year.

The Authority also announced that monthly evaluation forms for personnel and user agencies in the subvented category will be available on its portal from the 15th to the 20th of every month for completion and submission.
For October 2026, however, the evaluation period will run from October 15 to October 25.
The NSA further reminded the public that under Section 29(1) of the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), a Ghanaian citizen who has completed a course of study at a tertiary education institution is qualified to undertake national service.
It also drew attention to the legal consequences for qualified persons who fail to undertake the mandatory service.
Under Section 40 of the Act, an employer is prohibited from employing a person who is qualified to undertake national service but has not done so, unless that person is exempted under the law.
The law further requires employers to ascertain whether prospective employees are required to undertake national service and whether they have completed it or obtained an exemption certificate.
An employer who contravenes the provision is liable to an administrative penalty of 5,000 penalty units.
The NSA also said the Registrar of Companies shall not register the company, partnership or business name of a person who is qualified to undertake national service but has not completed it, unless the person is exempted.
The Authority urged all prospective personnel to comply with the registration, validation and reporting procedures within the stipulated timelines to facilitate their deployment and commencement of service.
