Former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, Paul Adom-Otchere, has been released from custody.
He was released from the OSP’s office in the company of Former Attorney General, Godfred Dame and his lawyers.
He was released after his lawyers negotiated for a revised bail conditions which was approved by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
In a statement released on Friday, August 1, the OSP confirmed that the revised terms meet the objectives of the original bail conditions, stating that the Jospong Group of Companies, acted as surety to secure the bail conditions.
Mr. Adom Otchere reported to the OSP on Thursday, July 31 at 3pm and was detained after being unable to meet the bail terms set by the OSP.
According to a statement posted on the OSP’s Facebook page on July 31, he was granted bail after interrogation but was unable to meet his bail conditions.
He was subsequently detained until he met the revised bail conditions and was released on Friday, August 1, 2025.
Mr Adom-Otchere is under investigation in connection with a revenue assurance contract between the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) and a private firm owned by the proprietor of Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML).
