Over 20 students from the Obuasi Senior High Technical School are currently in the grips of the police.

The embattled students had clashed with some residents of Sokoban in the Kumasi Metropolis.

According to an eyewitness, a bus carrying the students from the Baba Yara sports stadium was hit with an object, breaking the side glass-window.

The students then went on rampage.

Two people were allegedly attacked; a bus conductor and a hawker.

The condition of the former was on the brink and had to be rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for an emergency treatment.

I saw them pounced on my son with blood oozing all over his body” mother of a victim accounts while she joined scores to mass up at the Ampabame No1 Police station, where the suspects have been kept.

An aged man whose nephew was also attacked would spend the night at the forecourt of the police station until a positive result emerge from the hospital.

“I am not leaving here until I hear my nephew is alive.”

The Police refused to comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, police patrol has intensified in Sokoban and Ampabame communities to ensure smooth passage of students who are returning from the annual Inter Schools athletes competition being held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
