At a tender age of 15, Phildaus Bukari Kyere is already an African Games medalist which she won in the 13th edition hosted by Ghana.

It all started for Phildaus when she was scouted during a tour by the Ghana Armwrestling Federation during her days at Kweikuma M.A JHS in 2023.

The youngster in her maiden African Games appearance won two medals for Ghana: Bronze and Silver.

She won in the 55KG and 60KG following Team Ghana’s clean sweep in the discipline.

Phildaus is not stopping anytime as she has just started and is hoping to make an appearance on the world stage where she will be competing with the very best in the world.

“I am happy with the win, I worked hard and have always wanted a moment like this,” she told Connect FM.

“I want to keep training hard and win more tittles for Ghana in the future. My dream is to make it to the Olympics games and represent Ghana well.”

Fortunately for Phildaus, her dad is supportive of her dream and has always offered her the help she will need to get to the top.

“I support the sports she does and I always try to get her combine it with education which is equally important as well.

“Though it is difficult for her because she is young, we try to help her and we are happy she’s won medals in the African Games,” her dad said.

Every battle faced will be a step towards the Armwrestling World Championship dream for Phildaus Bukari Kyereh.

Hopefully she makes it.
