The burnt body of a 50-year-old disabled man has been found in his residence at Agormanya Ablotsi in the Eastern Region.

The family is suspecting foul play and demand that the Odumase Police Command investigate the incident and
deal with the perpetrators.

On the morning of Sunday, September 11, 2022, the family of the deceased woke up only to see the charred body of their relative with blood from the back of his head lying on a piece of cloth on the floor at his residence.

The deceased, a 50 year old disabled, has been on his own for the past four years living in a pavilion-like structure with no doors on a family land site distant from the family house.

He left the family house to the undeveloped area due to lack of accessible washroom in the family house.

Intentions of the family to build a new house for him has been cut short as concrete bricks and the cement they intended to put the structure up with laid on the site close to where his body was found.

The incident has shocked residents of Angormanya Ablotsi in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The Assemblyman for the Yohe Electoral Area, Joseph Kwame Anyeenorgu who was informed by the family, reported to the Odumase Police Command who picked the body at the scene.

The family allege some persons may have attacked him.

Ofoe Armah Sakyi speaks for the family and narrates “I was called by his younger brother that, they woke up at 4am and found the body in this state. We are very sad. He has been living here for some time now. We suspect some bad people killed him for reasons best known to them.”

The body has since been deposited at the Atua Government Hospital with police investigations ongoing.

The deceased had neither a wife nor biological child.
