The Ghana Police Service has announced of 18 more suspects being arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into looting and causing damage to properties in some parts of the country.
According to the police, this brings to 30, the total number of suspects arrested so far in connection with the investigations.
In a statement issued by the police Sunday, December 08, 2024, it said one of the suspects who was shot by an accomplice during the attack has been confirmed dead by medical authorities.
It added that one officer of the Electoral Commission (EC) who got injured is also receiving treatment at a medical facility.
“Intelligence-led operations are still ongoing to get other perpetrators arrested
to face justice. Once again, we urge the public to remain calm as Police officers have been deployed to key locations to intensify patrols and maintain law and order,” the statement added.
