A viral video of a student wielding a cutlass and threatening his colleagues on campus has led to the arrest of four students of Ada Senior High Technical School at Sege.
The Ghana Police Service, in a statement signed and issued by the Head of Public Affairs for the Tema Region, ASP Stella Dede Dzakpasu, said they learnt of the incident around 12:10 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, after the video surfaced on social media.
According to the statement, a night patrol team was immediately dispatched to the school after the footage circulated.
The Police said the school authorities helped them to arrest Raymond Gyamfi, Oscar Amemoair, Odartey Wilson, all aged 18, together with one juvenile who were identified in the video.
The suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with investigation.
Meanwhile, the Police have advised students to use established school structures to resolve disagreements peacefully rather than resorting to violence and intimidation.
The Command has also admonished parents and school authorities to enhance supervision, discipline and guidance among students to maintain safety and order in schools.
“The Command assures the public that investigations are ongoing and further developments will be communicated in due course,” the statement added.
