General Overseer of Alabaster International Ministries, Prophet Kofi Oduro has criticized Ghana’s security authorities following FBI’s arrest of some persons allegedly involved in fraudulent schemes.

While preaching to his congregation on June 22, 2025, Prophet Kofi Oduro described Ghana’s security system as “flawed.”

He questioned how Ghanaian security forces could be oblivious to widespread fraud taking place under their supervision.

“You’re in Ghana, yet your system is so flawed that another country can send officials, like the FBI, to come here and arrest criminals, while your own system can’t do that. And yet, you stand there and make noise,” he said.

Prophet Oduro further referenced the case of a Ghanaian-born U.S. Army Major Kojo Dartey, who was sentenced to 70 months in prison for smuggling firearms into Ghana, as further proof of how the country’s security system has failed.

“There’s a Ghanaian who rose to the rank of Major in the U.S. Army and used his position to illegally import firearms into this country for four years-and no one in Ghana caught him. It was the American authorities who arrested him. Ghanaian security officials saw the illegal activities but turned a blind eye,” he added.

Prophet Oduro’s remarks follow the FBI’s arrest of a number of Ghanaian businessmen for allegedly participating in a $100 million fraud operation.

The suspects included; Kofi Boateng (also known as Kofi Boat), Joseph Boateng (Dada Joe Remix), Inusah Ahmed (also known as Agony), and others.
