Real Tamale United (RTU) have joined Bofoakwa Tano FC as the relegated sides from the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

This follows a 2-0 loss to Asante Kotoko on Saturday, June 8 in a Matchday 33 clash.

Goals from Peter Amidu Acquah and Bernard Somuah in the second half ensured that the Porcupine Warriors ran away with the maximum points.

With the result, RTU will head back to Division One while Kotoko move up to seventh on the log.

The Pride of the North have an outstanding game against Dreams FC on Wednesday before their last game in the league against Great Olympics, who are also battling relegation.

In the other Matchday 33 game played on Saturday, Dreams FC had their hopes of surviving the League made difficult as they lost 1-0 to Accra Lions.

Bernard Kesse was the scorer on the day.

The remaining games are scheduled for Sunday, June 9.
