A motor rider suspected to be 30 years old has been involved in a fatal accident with a tipper truck at Eka Junction, a suburb of Samraboi in the Western region.
The tragic accident happened on Thursday, around 08:40 hours.
The remains of the deceased rider, identified as Seidu, have since been deposited at the Samatex Hospital for preservation.
Sources say Seidu, now deceased, was overspeeding on the Samatex road and attempted overtaking a vehicle at Eka Junction when he unfortunately collided with the tipper truck with registration number GT 3273-22.
The driver of the tipper truck is currently in police custody assisting investigation, while the truck and motorbike have been impounded at the police yard pending testing.
