Businessman Ernesto Taricone has issued a public clarification regarding his alleged involvement with an online investment platform called GCB Investments.

In a statement, Taricone, a shareholder of Trassaco Estate Development Ltd, emphasised that he has no affiliation with the platform and urged Ghanaians to disregard any information linking his name to it.

The clarification comes after an online circular surfaced, touting GCB Investments as a potential game-changer for Ghana’s financial future. He has warned the public to treat any such claims as false and not to get involved with it.

Taricone’s statement aims to protect unsuspecting individuals from potential investment scams and reassure the public of his non-involvement in the platform.

With the deceit that the initiative has been designed to give every citizen the chance to achieve financial independence and enhance their quality of life, unsuspecting members of the public are being lured into paying sums of money to the scammers behind the scheme with the false promise that their investment will yield multiple returns in the shortest possible time.

But in a Facebook post on Thursday, August 28, 2025, Martin Kpebu, counsel for Mr. Taricone, clarified that the investment platform is a scam.
