The people of Dormaa West District of the Bono Region have been left without the Assembly’s services due to a disruption in activities by staff.
The activities of the assembly have come to a standstill following the decision of some angry youth to prevent the newly posted Coordinating Director from entering her office for official duties.
The office of Mrs. Esther Abankye, the new Coordinating Director was locked by the angry youth.

According to the information gathered by 3news, the youth insist they will not allow the Director to work at the Assembly.
They alleged that she was transferred to Afram Plains but refused to accept the posting.
On day two of the Assembly staff boycotting the activities of the Assembly, access to the various offices including NIA, NADMO, Town and Country Planning, has been blocked, leaving clients stranded.
The staff said they are waiting for a directive from the Bono Regional Coordinating Council.
Speaking to some residents, they pleaded on the authorities to resolve the situation.
The police are also yet to apprehend any of the youth involved in the action.
