Management of Accra Academy has responded to the viral video capturing some of its students assaulting others with a cutlass.
The school says the students involved in the act have been suspended in the interim whilst investigations are ongoing.
The video in question has a student of the school flogging two of his colleagues, presumably his juniors, with the cutlass.
In a statement issued by the school’s management, it said the student who flogged his colleagues has been handed over to the police for further investigations.
The statement names Haleem Jibril, Ahmed Dauda, Richard Ninsin who are all final year students with Shadad Aliu, a first-year student as the culprits with four first year students being Samuel Ussher, Kingsford Quayson, Stephen Oteng and Dominic Awuku Adjei as victims.
Meanwhile, the school says the incident occurred on January 17, 2025 and has assured the public of any update that comes out of the investigations once it is done.
