The Suame Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Frank Owusu Ansah, has interacted with stakeholders at the Suame Magazine Industrial Cluster to discuss strategies for swift development.

Suame Magazine is West Africa’s largest artisanal engineering enclave, housing over 200,000 artisans and 12,000 shop-owning entrepreneurs.

The Suame MCE stressed on improving infrastructure to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the area.

Mr Owusu Ansah indicated that the meeting seeks to enhance skills training and innovation to increase productivity and competitiveness among artisans.

The meeting considered the implementation of fire safety measures and emergency response plans following recent fire outbreaks in the area.

According to him, fostering partnerships between stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector organizations, and local artisans is to help drive development.

He said the Assembly is responsible for overseeing development initiatives in the municipality.

“Business owners and artisans operating in the Suame Magazine Industrial cluster together with representatives from government agencies responsible for supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship should help in developing the area.

The engagement aims to identify challenges hindering development in the Suame Magazine Industrial cluster and develop strategies to address these challenges, foster collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders, and also improve infrastructure, skills training, and innovation in the area.

The Suame MCE reiterated his commitment to drive development and growth in the Suame Magazine Industrial cluster, ultimately contributing to the local economy and improving livelihoods for artisans and entrepreneurs.
