Football star Alex Iwobi is proving there’s truly more to life beyond the pitch.

The Fulham FC midfielder is stepping boldly into the music scene, officially unveiling his debut EP ‘More to Life’ under his artist name, 17.

Set for release on April 9, 2026, the eight-track project blends smooth Afrowave and Afrobeats influences, reflecting his Nigerian roots while showcasing a more personal, creative side of the 29-year-old.

Fans have already had a taste of the project with the lead single “TRACK 0 (FREESTYLE)”, hinting at a body of work driven by introspection, rhythm, and storytelling.

The EP features an exciting lineup of collaborators, including Fido, Giddi, Teniola Time, 4AM, P17, and SPKS, alongside fellow footballer Amadou Onana of Aston Villa FC, who appears under his music alias 24AM — adding a distinctive football-meets-music edge to the project.

Visually, the project embraces themes of nostalgia and growth. The announcement artwork presents Iwobi in a striking black-and-white portrait, layered with childhood images from 1998, 2004, and 2010, symbolizing his journey and evolution both on and off the field.

As he balances life in the Premier League with his passion for music, Iwobi continues to blur the lines between athlete and artist, a true footballer and rapper fusion that feels both authentic and ambitious.
