The Takoradi District Court A presided over by Michael Ampadu has postponed judgement of Josephine Panyin Mensah, known for an alleged case of kidnapping and fake pregnancy, to Thursday November 17, 2022.

A court clerk Tuesday morning announced in open court that Josephine Panyin Mensah’s judgement was not ready.

The court last week Thursday deferred judgement to today after the same court had ordered a pregnancy test be conducted on the accused person, Josephine Panyin Mensah.

OnuaOnline’s sources at the court has confirmed that the test result is ready and in the court’s possession.

Some relatives of the victim including her mother were in court with her this morning.

Unlike last week when Mrs Panyin Mensah was moody, she was in high spirit, appeared lively and collected as she sat in the court room.

However, a court clerk announced in open court about a quater to 9:00 before commencement of sitting that she leaves and return Thursday because her judgement wasn’t ready.

Meanwhile, a careful examination of the accused showed she is pregnant.

Josephine Panyin Mensah has been accused of faking a pregnancy and staging her kidnap.

She has been charged with two counts of deceiving a public officer contrary to section 251(B) of the Criminal Offences Acts and publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic contrary to section 208(1) of the Criminal Offenses Act.
