Captain Frank Amoaning Donkor, 36, a flying instructor, and Elijah Ofori Donkor, 25, a university graduate, have been identified as the two victims of Monday’s fatal aircraft crash in Tema.

The two persons, who have been identified as siblings, were both residents of Hebron, Dobro.

Reports indicate they were returning from a meeting in the Volta regional capital, Ho, when the accident occurred, leading to their demise.

Graphic Online reports that a source close to the investigation team made the disclosure.

The light aircraft, with registration number 9G-ADV, crashed within the premises of the TMA Daycare Centre at Tema Community 1, Site 17, before bursting into flames.

The two occupants were partially burnt in the incident. Fortunately, none of the pupils or staff of the school was injured.

Meanwhile, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, in collaboration with personnel from the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana National Fire Service, and the National Disaster Management Organisation, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, removed the wreckage from the crash site as they commenced full-scale investigations into the incident.
