Businessman cum politician, Akwasi Addae Odike has said the deeds of President Akufo-Addo and the NPP has defied the basic tenet of democracy.

He made the statement based on President Akufo-Addo’s insistence on sacking Ken Ofori-Atta after some Majority Members of Parliament called for his removal.

He adds further that, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) directive to the Majority MPs to abstain from the vote of censure the Minority moved is uncalled for, and something unheard of in any serious democratic polity.

Mr. Odike asserts the above move by the President and the NPP, coupled with the flawed constitution make democracy a scam in Ghana.

“The NPP has made democracy a scam in Ghana. If not for a useless constitution, what stake would the President have had over the Legislature? And we have a General Secretary asking MPs not to vote on an issue in Parliament,” he fumed.

Meanwhile, Camelia Ignat, a Romanian national who appeared on the show said she is surprised Ghanaians keep making same mistake voting for the NPP and NDC despite making no impact on the lives of the citizens.

She advised Ghanaians to sit up before things get out of hand totally like it has happened in Romania.
