A Tuesday night inferno at Madina Ritz Junction in the Adentan municipality razed down several shops.
A fight between two occupants sparked the fire according to a shop owner’s report to Media General‘s Richard Bright Addo even though the cause of the fire has not been detected by authorities yet.
The fire which commenced around 10:30pm was being fought by personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) as at 1am on Wednesday.
It was brought under control as five tenders were deployed in the fight.
There was a heavy police presence to protect lives and property.
No casualties, according to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Service, were recorded.
Alex Nartey told our reporter that though the cause of the fire cannot be immediately known, he will not rule out arson.
