Gunmen have killed three persons at Gumyoko in the Binduri district of the Upper East Region.
Security sources who confirmed the incident say the faceless gunmen attacked houses in the community on the night of Saturday March 8, 2025.
According to the security sources, the gunmen who carried out the attack on a motorcycle, opened fire killing two people on the spot and injuring two others. The attackers also set houses ablaze.
One of the injured, however, later succumbed to his gunshot wounds at the hospital.
The other injured person is still on admission at an undisclosed hospital and undergoing treatment.
It is unclear what the cause of the deadly attack is. However, security sources believe it is connected to the Bawku conflict resurgence which has since led the lost of hundred of lives and property.
