Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has congratulated the University of Development Studies (UDS) for reaching the final of the FISU World University Games currently ongoing in China.
The Ghanaian university on Friday, September 26 beat Spain’s University of Granada 5-4 on penalties to book a place in the final.
The semi-final game had ended goalless in full regulation time.
The Ghanaians, however, edged past their European counterparts in the resultant penalty shootouts.
The final is scheduled for Sunday, September 28.
UDS are billed to come up against Paulista University of Brazil to determine the winners of the competition.
