Leading member of the Movement for Change, Hopeson Yaovi Adorye, has clarified the comments he made that led to his arrest by the Ghana Police Service.

According to the former member of the New Patriotic Party, he did not say he detonated a dynamite in the Volta region as being speculated.

However, Mr. Adorye says his detonation was carried in Togo, Ghana’s neighbour to the east.

Making his first media appearance following his bail, Mr. Adorye explained on Onua TV’s Maakye Wednesday, May 29, 2024, that the dynamite was to prevent foreigners from coming to Ghana to vote and not to scare away residents of the Volta region as being speculated.

He explained to Yaa Titi Okrah, the processes that led to his arrest and what ensued at the police’s outfit.
