A major fire has broken out at the Techiman Central Market in the Bono East Region, causing significant damage to numerous shops and leaving traders reeling.
Eyewitnesses report that the blaze quickly consumed a large portion of the market, destroying goods and properties.
Emergency services are currently on-site, battling to contain the inferno and prevent it from spreading further.
This incident comes on the heels of a series of devastating market fires in Ghana, most notably the catastrophic blaze that engulfed Accra’s Kantamanto Market on January 2, 2025.
