The District Chief Executive nominee for the Akatsi North District in the Volta Region, Bless Kodjo Katamani has been given an overwhelming confirmation from the Assembly Members.
All 18 members of the Assembly who voted Wednesday morning, voted unanimously to approve the nominee who becomes the fourth District Chief Executive for Akatsi North.
Mr Katamani who hails from Agormor-Agado, is an academician and holds an MPhil in Educational Administration from the University of Cape Coast where he also had his first degree, B.Ed Social Sciences.
Until his nomination, he was the Assistant Headmaster (Administration) at the Prestea SHTS.
Politically, Mr Bless Kodjo Katamani was the Akatsi North Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a position he has held since 2018.
In an address after his confirmation and swearing in, he promised to work with all stakeholders including the Chiefs and staff of the Assembly to drive and champion the development of the Akatsi North District.
Mr Katamani also called for unity within the ranks of the NDC to ensure a safe environment for driving the development of the area, extending calls to the other persons who contested for the position.
