The police are on a manhunt for a gang of robbers for attacking a cash collection point at Anyinase, near Essiama on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
A statement issued by the Police indicate workers of the place were taken hostage after the suspects entered the premises with the pretext of transacting business.
“The robbers who were on motorbikes entered the premises of the cash collection point under the pretext of transacting business but later attacked the workers at gunpoint, took them hostage and made away with an amount of money,” the statement indicated.

Meanwhile, the law enforcement agency says “intelligence operations is ongoing to get the perpetrators arrested and we will surely get them.”
