Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo says he has the players to get all the three points from Mali in Thursday’s FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The Black Stars take on the Eagles in a crucial Group I clash at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.
While Ghana cannot afford to lose the game as it will narrow their chances of qualifying for the mundial, the Malians are poised to win to go top of the group.
Despite being favourites in the group, both teams are trailing Comoros, who are currently on top of the group with six out of six points so far.
Speaking a day before the game, Coach Addo, who qualified Ghana to the last World Cup in Qatar, said the match is very important for the Black Stars.
“We are one point behind Mali and we have to win to give us a chance of qualifying to the World Cup,” he told journalists.
“Mali are a very strong team. They have young talent in their team and it will be a tough game for us.”
He said he has a plan against Eric Chelle’s side and he has the players to match the Malians.
“Surely, I think we are ready for the game,” he stated.
“I was very satisfied with how the players understood with how the players want to play. This is going to a tough match away in Mali but we also have the quality to compete against them although we didn’t have a good AFCON.
“We have the players to get three points from Mali.”
The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm.
