Beatrice Agyemang, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Ghana’s leading media company, Media General Ghana Ltd. (MG), has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to holding duty bearers accountable for the promises they made to Ghanaians.

She maintained that the values of the company encourage them to point out the wrongs whilst providing duty-bearers with the platform to account for their stewardship as public officials.

According to the GCEO, Ghanaians must know if the mandate entrusted to public officials is being executed to their advantage.

Additionally, Madam Agyemang stressed that MG platforms will continue to support small- to medium-scale businesses to thrive.

Addressing the media after being adjudged the CEO of the Year in the Media-Television category at the 8th Ghana CEO Summit

on Monday, May 27, Madam Agyemang attributed the award and recognition to the hard work of MG staff.

Moreover, Media General, operators of TV3, 3FM, Onua TV and others, was adjudged the Media Organisation of the Year at the same event.

“This is a reflection of the hard work of my team. I keep receiving these awards year in, and year out because of the hard work of my team. This is a big inspiration and we are going to forge ahead. We are going to break new grounds.

“We will continue to hold duty bearers accountable for the promises they make to the people of Ghana,” she emphasised, adding that Media General would continue to assist businesses to grow.

“My biggest excitement is when I see SMEs grow on our platforms,” she noted.

She further noted that the awards exemplify the high standards that guide the operations of Media General Ghana Limited.

“It is the values we live by; at Media General we are guided by our values of integrity, professionalism, innovation, our values for concern for the community and so you realise we do a lot of human interest stories…stories that impact lives and are able to tell the situation of the voiceless. That is what inspires me,” she stressed.
