The Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum has supported the Awaso Asempaneya M/A Junior High School with computers, printers and other ICT equipment to strengthen teaching and learning at the school.

The intervention is aimed at helping address some of the ICT infrastructure challenges confronting schools in rural communities across the Western North Region, where inadequate equipment, power and connectivity continue to affect access to digital education.

The support follows the school’s impressive performance at the National Cultural Festival held in Techiman.

Speaking to the students, the Regional Minister reaffirmed his commitment to supporting schools and improving educational outcomes in the region.

He encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, particularly Mathematics, Science, English and Social Studies, noting the importance of these subjects to their academic development and future careers.

The students and school authorities expressed their appreciation to the Regional Minister for the intervention.

The school says the computers, printers and other equipment will provide students with improved opportunities to develop practical ICT skills and complement classroom learning.

The intervention is expected to contribute to efforts to bridge the digital divide and improve access to technology-based education in rural schools across the region.
