The Municipal Fire Commander for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality in the Western North Region, DO1 Enock Tetteh, has died.

The senior officer reportedly passed away at the Reed Danos Medical Centre in Bibiani.

The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been officially disclosed.

DO1 Enock Tetteh was known for his dedication to duty and commitment to fire safety and public protection. During his tenure, he played an active role in fire prevention campaigns, emergency response operations and public education programmes across the municipality.

His death has come as a shock to colleagues within the Ghana National Fire Service, the broader security community and residents of the municipality, who have expressed grief over the loss of an officer described as disciplined, professional and hardworking.

The Ghana National Fire Service is expected to officially communicate details surrounding his passing and announce funeral arrangements in due course.

The news organisation extends its condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues and the entire Ghana National Fire Service.
