The National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, is questioning Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia where his ‘Bold Solutions’ were during their 8 years in office.
The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been campaigning on the theme; “Bold Solutions“, demonstrating how he has the antidote to Ghana’s challenges.
Bawumia has been pleading with Ghanaians to give him the opportunity to offer his bold solutions to help the nation out of the challenges it is in now.
According to the Vice President, he only served as a ‘driver’s mate‘ under Akufo-Addo, calling on Ghanaians to give him the opportunity to steer affairs of the State as a frontrunner.
But the Head of the NDC’s Communication’s Bureau who is also a private legal practitioner, Sammy Gyamfi, speaking on the KeyPoints on TV3 Saturday, November 23, 2024, asked Bawumia why he has not been able to use his bold solutions in the past 8 years.
Sammy Gyamfi says despite claiming to be a driver’s mate and absolving himself of the challenges the country has been through, the same Bawumia has been priding himself with an unknown 33 achievements and taking credit for everything positive in the very administration he claims to be a latent composition of, whenever the topic is about the government’s failures.
Responding directly to a former flag bearer aspirant of the NPP, Kwadwo Nsafoa Poku, who had earlier spoken about Bawumia’s bold solutions on the same show, adding that Mahama had nothing to offer to solve Ghana’s problems, Sammy Gyamfi asked where those solutions have been all along.
He explained that Dr. Bawumia, whilst in opposition in 2016, questioned John Mahama’s quest to solve Ghana’s problems when he had been in office for 8 years.
“He spoke about solutions, you have been in office for 8 years, where were those solutions? That was what Bawumia said in 2016 to John Mahama, that if Mahama knew how to manage economy, where were all those ideas when he was in office for 8 years.
“Today you have also been in office for 8 years, where were those bold solutions?” he questioned.
Sammy Gyamfi went on to highlight some of the solutions John Mahama is introducing to solve Ghana’s unemployment and economic challenges, such as the 24-hour economy, Women’s Development Bank, National Apprenticeship Programmes, Pharma Service Centres and Farm Banks amongst others.
He entreated Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama on December 7 since he has what it takes to take Ghana out of the mess the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has taken the nation into, citing his infrastructure track-record, amid bequeathing a stronger economy where the dollar was only GHC4.00, unlike today where it is almost GHC17.00.
