Campaign posters of the Western regional minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah who is also the Member of Parliament for Takoradi, have been spotted at a shrine at Sofokrom, a community in the Sekondi Takoradi metropolis of the Western region.

The shrine has been set up by an unknown individual at an uncompleted building.

Owner of the uncompleted building, Isaac Sam tells Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show that he saw the shrine in the building during one of his normal errands.

“I was running my errands in the building and came across a fully set up shrine in one of the rooms. I saw red cloths hanging on the wall, a talisman, a sponge, soap, perfumes, and a poster of the Regional Minister. Initially, I thought it was someone who was trying to have a litigation on the land with me but I think there is a different agenda to it. We informed the Inchaban Police who came to take some pictures but said they don’t investigate spiritual issues, so we have informed the traditional authorities in the area,” he indicated.

According to him, he is scarred to touch anything at the shrine and as a result, it has since been left in the room.

The Member of Parliament for Takoradi is currently contesting the seat for a fifth term.

Two other candidates have also passed vetting and are campaigning to unseat him in the January primaries of the party.

His posters with the inscription “I’m 4 Kobby” with his image and NPP logo were seen at the shrine.

It is currently unknown how the campaign poster found its way to the shrine and the purpose.
