Veteran coach Yusif Basigi has officially announced his new job as the Head Coach of Simba Queens of Tanzania.

There were rife reports on Tuesday, September 24 that the Black Princesses coach was leaving Hasaacas Ladies for a one-year contract with Simba Queens.

Videos of him leaving the Kotoka International Airport also made rounds on social media to fuel the reports.

On Wednesday, September 25, Basigi himself posted on X, formerly Twitter, that he was embarking on a new challenge abroad.

“Though far away from the club of my heart (Hasaacas Ladies), I will always wish them the very best of luck in all their encounters both domestic and internationals,” he sad his departure.

His new club posted the announcement on social media to confirm the rumours.

Basigi’s last assignment was taking the Black Princesses to Colombia for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

He lost two matches and won one, which was not enough to keep him beyond the group phase.
