Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga has announced that government will complete ten Agenda 111 hospital projects this year.

Addressing parliament upon resumption of the House on February 3, 2026, the Bawku Central MP outlined a raft of interventions government intends to fulfil by the end of 2026.

He said construction of six regional hospitals will start in addition to the completion of the Agenda 111 projects.

“Six new regional hospitals will commence construction this year alongside two district hospitals at Bole and Shama while ten (10) Agenda 111 hospital projects will be completed.

“Ongoing projects at La General, Effia Nkwantang, Komfo Anokye maternity and the Ashanti Regional hospital will continue and diagnostic and treatment centers will be established across major hospitals through PPPs,” he stated.

Additionally, he noted that government will allocate GHC2.3 billion to the Mahama Care and GHC9 billion will be provided for NHIS claim.

…these initiatives collectively push 2026 as a year of tangible progress, improving education, health care, social intervention and economic opportunities for all Ghanaians,” he stressed.

The Majority Leader of government business stated that 2026 will be a transformative year for Ghana across all sectors.
