Public Relations Officer of the Anti-Galamseyers Watchdog, Ali Morro tells Emmanuel Sowah they caught the culprits red handed in the act.

“We’ve sworn against illegal mining in this area just as the president has. We got a tipoff that some galamseyers have come around and headed into the various villages. So we saw them prospecting some areas for gold when we went round and got them arrested,” he narrated.

He also warned sternly, persons planning to indulge in galamsey in the area to change their route because “this time around we are handing them to the police. The next time, nobody might hear about it.”
