Government Statistician, Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu, has announced that Ghana’s inflation dropped from 8.0% in October 2025 to 6.3% in November same year.
This is far below the 23.8% recorded in December 2024, marking the 11th straight month of decline since the beginning of this year.
Dr. Iddrisu made the disclosure during a presentation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and rate of inflation for November 2025 at a press conference on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Also, food inflation within the period fell fromĀ 9.5% to 6.6%, indicating a significant easing in price pressures across major food groups in the country.
The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has further disclosed that prices of items produced both locally and imported are on a stabilised trajectory, with imported inflation dropping from 7.8% in October 2025 to 5.0% in November 2025.
Meanwhile, Dr. Alhassan said Regional inflation remains uneven, with the North East region recording the highest inflation at 12.2%, while the Savannah region made a near zero inflation at 0.02% within the same period.
The November figures come amid expectations by international rating agencies and the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) projection of further drops, following the measures adopted by the Bank of Ghana to stabilise the cedi, and downward adjustment of the policy rate which has eased businesses.
