The much-anticipated 4th edition of the annual 3FM Gobe Festival lit up the Legon City Mall in Accra on Saturday, March 28, 2026, with a vibrant celebration of Ghanaian food, culture, and community.

Organized by 3FM 92.7 MHZ “Your Urban Lifestyle Radio, the festival once again brought together thousands of food lovers, families, and cultural enthusiasts to honor the iconic Ghanaian dish.

As a feast of Ghanaian heritage, the festival showcased a wide variety of gobɛ dishes prepared by local vendors, ranging from traditional recipes to modern twists.

Traditionally, gobɛ is made up of gari, oil, and beans which may be complemented with fried ripe plantain. However, the modern twist has seen people supplementing with eggs, fish, meat, vegetables, avocado and others.

Attendees were treated to an array of Ghanaian delicacies, reinforcing the importance of food as a cultural anchor and a source of national pride.

Beyond food, the festival featured live music performances by the Urbangruve band that got people into the mood and bodies move, DJ sets, and cultural showcases that kept the crowd energized throughout the day.

Family-friendly games and activities ensured that children and adults alike could participate, making the event a wholesome community gathering.

The Gobe Festival has grown into more than just a food fair. It provides a platform for local vendors, artisans, content creators, food bloggers and small businesses to showcase their products, boosting local commerce. It also elevates gobɛ from a humble everyday meal to a celebrated cultural symbol, uniting people across generations.

Organizers expressed their profound gratitude to their proud sponsors: Obuase Bitters, Gino Hot Pepper Powder, Frutelli / Kallypo, Origin Beer, Kel Charcoal Tooth Paste, and Games on Wheels for their valuable support.

As the festival continues to expand in popularity, organizers are considering ways to make future editions more sustainable and inclusive whilst patrons are already anticipating the next edition.

The 4th edition of the 3FM Gobɛ Festival was a resounding success, blending tradition with modern entertainment and reaffirming gobɛ’s place as a cherished symbol of Ghanaian identity.
