A glory accident has occurred on Saturday, October 25,2025 at Atwedie close to Konongo on the Kumasi-Accra Highway, leaving five people in critical condition and eleven others severely injured.
The devastating accident involved a Sprinter bus with registration number GR 6626-22, which rammed into a stationed tipper truck on the highway.
Eyewitnesses account said the accident occurred on the early hours of Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Our news team gathered at the accident that, the incident occurred when the Sprinter bus was bending a curve and suddenly saw the stationed tipper truck, but ended up ramming into it.
Residents described the harrowing details of the accident.
“Two passengers who were seated at the front were trapped in the car following the accident, it took fire officers close to three hours to rescue them,” our source stated.
“Although the deaths are not confirmed by experts, I am afraid the five I saw may not survive.”
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) played a crucial role in rescuing passengers trapped in the wreckage.
The victims have been rushed to the Juaso Government hospital for medical care, and security officials were at the scene controlling traffic to prevent any nasty incident.
